GPS Time & Grid Viewer
GPS Time & Grid Viewer is a Windows app that provides real-time GPS data for ham radio operators. It connects to your GPS device via a serial port and displays important information, including UTC time, Maidenhead grid square, and UK Ordnance Survey National Grid references.
Key Features:
-
UTC Time – Displayed directly from your GPS receiver.
-
Maidenhead Grid – Automatically calculates your grid square from your GPS coordinates.
-
Latitude/Longitude – Shows your current position in decimal degrees.
-
UK OS Grid – Displays an 8-figure UK Ordnance Survey grid reference when in Great Britain.
How It Works:
The app listens for NMEA sentences from your GPS device (like $GPRMC and $GNRMC) to extract and display the information in real time.
